The room is a 10m x 18m x6m high portal frame structure built to house compressor plants. It is situated close to the boiler house for improved operating economy and a better designed compressed air. The structure is founded on a strip and pad foundation with stub column to support the stanchions. The floor has a smooth finished surface and bears the compressor plant. The room has a natural ventilation design with mesh panel walls, doors and louvered blocks. An underground drain was provided to take rain water and condensate from the compressed air
