National Open University of Nigeria

P+P Role:
Electrical Services Consultant

Project Overview:
The role of Project + Potentials in the development of the NOUN project was that of electrical consultancy, encompassing the implementation of a wide range of electrical services. This included the design and supervision of the internal and external lighting, power generation and distribution, fire alarm detection using an addressable system, and extra-low voltage designs for television layouts, intercom, data (wired and wireless), CCTV, and access control. Additionally, the team was responsible for the earthing and bonding of all buildings and electrical equipment, as well as the installation of a lightning arrestor system.
The Project + Potentials team executed this comprehensive project, which involved extensive electrical installations across multiple systems, within a 12-month timeframe. Advanced solutions, such as the lightning arrestor and the detailed arrangement of lighting systems, were integrated to ensure the project’s success. The site comprises two main buildings: the two-floor Academic Staff Office and the two-floor Examination Auditorium, along with two gatehouses located at the entrance and exit of the premises.
